River

Being around River is like eating comfort food.  He leaves you feeling ....great.  He is always happy, ready, willing, and able. He loves to be loved. He loves to play. He loves to please. River could be described as the quintessential,"life is good" dog. If one were to compare him to the characters in Wizard of Oz, he would most definitely be a combination of the lion and the scarecrow. His greatest joy is playing frisbee, and working obedience.   River has helped raise many pups in his 12 years. He teaches patience and tenderness, and shows us daily, the value of living each day to its fullest.  River clearly exudes the classic golden retriever temperament that is so well known and loved.
