We believe that every one of the dogs that came into our lives came to us for a reason. They had a job to do. They came to heal our hearts, and soothe our minds. They taught us lessons about living in the moment, loving like there won't be a tomorrow, and what it means to be a true friend, and loyal companion.
They taught us that pure joy comes from a good meal and hanging around the fire with family after a day playing in the snow. Not one of these "kids" wanted to leave…not one went easily. A best friend to the very end…the very end. We miss them daily, and speak of them often. We will never forget our journey together. On certain days we'd swear they've come back to play. It's not uncommon to see a flash of amber fur in the trees. Sometimes an unexplainable shadow, or an image of a long lost friend will surprise us in the forest. We may even call out,"Noah is that you?" They are never far away because we carry them deep in our hearts.
